- Who was your favorite character in this book, and why?
- What was your favorite scene?
- Kri has been the victim of domestic violence. In what ways does that shape her behavior toward men?
- In what ways can you relate to Kri?
- Why did Kri leave Montana when she had such a strong support system there? Why move to a place where she knew no one? Have you ever made this kind of move? If so, how did it affect you?
- Kri gets into a car with a virtual stranger (Frank), then questions how smart that decision really was. Have you ever gotten in a car with a stranger? What about on a first date?
- What did you think of the man who sang to Kri in the park? Have you ever had a stranger do something kind like this for you?
